Music For A Cause” is on a mission to give a powerful voice to teenagers and shine a light on critical global issues. Recently, Türkiye and Syria were struck by massive earthquakes measuring 7.8 and 7.5 in magnitude. These natural disasters left a trail of destruction, ripping apart cities and tearing families apart in both countries, with a profound impact on their residents, particularly children.

BTF Youth
The team of members comprises passionate and dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds, each driven by a shared commitment to the cause of helping amputee children impacted by the recent earthquake.
Derin
Derin is a Turkish-American teen from Brooklyn looking to make a change. She is very active in her school community and participates in theatre and started her school newspaper, BRP Gazette. Music For A Cause was her first fundraiser event co-created with her sister Duru. She is excited about working more with BTF and giving back to Turkiye.
Duru
Duru is a Turkish – American teen who live in Brooklyn and is a junior in Baruch College Campus High School. She’s interested in motorsports and love going out with her friends. She organized her first fundraiser with BTF with her sister and a bunch of lovely bands. She’s so excited to keep working with them and continue helping Turkiye.
Koi
Koi is an LI/NYC based alt-indie band comprised of guitarists Dakota Lopez, Jacob Laslo, bassist Ethan Iglesias, drummer Harris Leopold, and pianist Timothy Yakhya. While Jacob and Ethan have been away, they have been continuing to play shows with Masha Avrutsky on bass to make sure the scene they love stays afloat. Some of their influences include bands such as the strokes, the arctic monkeys, TTNG, and most importantly the entire Persona 5 soundtrack!
The Plutarchs
The Plutarchs are a band from Yonkers NY with members: Abel Garcia (17 y/o) (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Angel Facal (18 y/o) (Vocals/Bass Guitar), Matthew Ramos (16 y/o) (Lead Guitar) and Leo Tapia (19 y/o) (Drums). In the past year, The Plutarchs have played their school talent show, spent time recording their upcoming EP titled “Painfully Beautiful” and seen what it’s like to play in the New York punk scene.
Sledgehammer
Sledgehammer is a teen band based in NYC and Long Island, made up of bassist and singer Lucas Kohn, drummer Harris Leopold, and guitarist and singer Arlo Freedman.
Slowgrll
Violet is a local NYC teen who makes music. Her newest EP Its Horrific! Its Spring is available on on streaming platforms.
