BTF Youth in Action: North Carolina Fundraiser Supports Women’s Well-Being in Türkiye

April 11, 2025 | Community

In a heartwarming show of solidarity and social responsibility, the American Turkish Association of North Carolina (ATA-NC) Youth Group recently organized a fundraising event in collaboration with Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF). Hosted by ATA-NC, the event brought together community members for a meaningful evening dedicated to empowering women in Türkiye.

We’re happy to share that the proceeds from this special gathering will be donated to Konuşmamız Gerek Derneği, a trusted nonprofit in Türkiye that is committed to developing innovative solutions for improving the lives of women. From menstrual health awareness to gender equality advocacy, the organization’s work is changing narratives and creating tangible impact for women and girls across the country.

The event was not only a celebration of culture and community but also a testament to the power of youth-driven change. The ATA-NC Youth Group took the lead in both conceptualizing and organizing the evening—motivated by a deep desire to support their “sisters in Türkiye.” Their initiative, passion, and sense of responsibility left everyone inspired.

At BTF, we are incredibly proud to have supported this initiative from day one. Empowering youth to take action on the issues they care about most is a core part of our mission, and this event was a perfect example of what happens when young leaders are given space and support to shine.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the night so memorable. Your generosity is helping drive real change—and bringing us one step closer to a more equitable future for women in Türkiye.

Together, we are building bridges—and brighter tomorrows.
