In remembrance of those whom we lost in the 2023 earthquakes and who remain forever in our hearts, never forgotten.
Carrying Compassion and Recovery Forward, Together.
Three years have passed since the devastating earthquakes of February 6, 2023, a day that altered lives, landscapes, and communities. Today, we remember and honor the lives lost on that day, who remain forever in our hearts.
We also are thinking of the thousands of people who continue to face a long road to recovery. Many still live surrounded by the damage of the earthquakes, a constant visual reminder of the heartbreaking tragedy. Some of the youngest survivors of the earthquake are just about to turn three years old. They have grown up knowing transition and rebuilding as part of everyday life. Their lives are a quiet measure of time passed and a reminder that recovery takes time.
In the days and weeks following the 2023 earthquakes, the response from around the world was extraordinary. We are grateful for the outpouring of support from over 40,000 supporters whose response became a turning point in our collective efforts to work directly with local organizations and volunteers on the ground to provide immediate help.
Three years on, our community continues to demonstrate deep compassion to build resilience and recovery for the lives forever changed by the earthquakes. Our hearts remain joined as we continue to stand together, rebuilding communities, restoring hope, and nurturing those still healing. Community support remains essential to resilience. Today, it reminds us that healing is possible when we choose to remember, to care, and to stand together.
Initiatives like our Project CATE serve as one of the many examples of how our community of supporters continues to be there for those who are healing and supporting the future of children impacted by these earthquakes.
Remembrances like this arrive quietly, and often with sorrow, carrying the weight that does not lessen with time. Community is a part of that healing and transforming compassion into lasting impact because the recovery is still ongoing.
Thank you for standing with Bridge to Türkiye Fund in support of Türkiye, then, now, and tomorrow.
With love and support,
