Akbaba Secondary School – Kars

In rural Kars, Akbaba Secondary School’s new laboratory gives students a dedicated place to experiment, observe, and ask questions. Established through BTF’s Science-Labs4Schools initiative, it strengthens the school’s resources for practical science learning.

Before - A space waiting for possibility

The school identified a need for a laboratory serving 60 students. Creating a dedicated learning space helps bring practical science activities within reach.

In her message to BTF, a teacher described students whose curiosity and desire to learn remain strong despite these circumstances. The new laboratory creates more opportunities for them to explore scientific ideas, ask questions, and practice problem-solving through experimentation.

After - Learning in Action

With laboratory equipment available at school, students can explore scientific ideas through hands-on activities and practice observation and problem-solving.

By strengthening the school’s science resources, this project supports teachers in making lessons more interactive and gives students more opportunities to learn by doing.

The new science laboratory at Akbaba Secondary School in Kars gives students a dedicated space to explore, experiment, and discover. Through hands-on learning, they can develop scientific thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Bike4Kids campaign organizers, donors, and supporters for making this project possible and helping expand educational opportunities for students.
