The Back to School Campaign Impact Report 2026 highlights how donor support provided 233 students across six cities in Türkiye with backpacks and essential school supplies.

This school year, your generosity helped put a new backpack on the shoulders of 233 children in six cities: Ağrı, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Kars, Hatay, Kilis.
Each bag was packed with everything a young learner needs to start the year ready and proud: notebooks for handwriting and math, a sketchbook for drawing, colored pencils and oil pastels, a small art kit, and all the everyday essentials, from pencils and erasers to glue, a ruler, and a pencil case printed just for them.
A few cheerful extras, like stickers and colorful clips, made each bag feel less like a supply kit and more like a gift. For many of these children, it was the first time they walked into class with a full set of materials of their own.

I teach in a small village school in a community where families have very limited means and where the earthquake has made daily life even harder. Our school may be small, but its dreams are big. In our classroom, I have created a different kind of learning environment, one built around the theory of multiple intelligences and centered on the children themselves, with corners for science, art, reading, music, and sports. I hope that my students will grow not within the confines of a uniform classroom routine, but as young people who think, explore, ask questions, imagine, and find real joy in learning.
