BTF Marathon Campaign – Impact Report 2025

Inspired by the Istanbul Marathon, BTF launched its first BTF Marathon campaign in November 2025, a volunteer-led fitness challenge that brought together partners in Türkiye and supporters around the world. Volunteers participated from Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Bolivia, Dubai, and Canada, as well as communities across the United States, including North Texas, Houston, California, and Chicago. Participants took part however they chose, whether they walked, hiked, ran, or pushed a stroller, with no minimum distance required.

Alumni from İzmir Fen Lisesi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, Kabataş Erkek Lisesi, and Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi came together as teams, turning school pride into scholarships for the next generation. Their support reached students through trusted local partners.*

Together, participants helped fund 75 annual scholarships, with every alumni team contributing to this shared achievement.

Alumni of ODTÜ contributed toward 61 scholarships,
İzmir Fen Lisesi supported 6,
Kabataş Erkek Lisesi 4,
Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi 3, and
Hacettepe Üniversitesi 1.

Each scholarship gives a student the freedom to focus on learning rather than worrying about how to cover the cost of their education.

For students facing financial barriers, scholarship support can help cover educational and daily expenses that might otherwise make continuing their studies more difficult.

Just as importantly, it reminds students that there is a community behind them, invested in their education and the futures they are working toward.

Through the Marathon, BTF supporters turned their daily movement into lasting opportunity, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who laced up, logged on, and cheered each other along the way.
