A one-of-a-kind piece of Turkish couture is going up for auction in support of the BTF GENC Project!
Donated by Barbaros Şansal, this extraordinary sequin blazer was personally designed and tailored by renowned Turkish fashion designer Yıldırım Mayruk in 2001. Crafted from Swiss fabric by Jakob Schlaepfer, featuring vintage buttons from 1955, and requiring approximately 200 hours of handwork, the blazer represents decades of artistry and craftsmanship.
The piece was worn by Barbaros Şansal during a Seattle performance of BURDA OLMAZ, a production that traveled to 18 cities across six countries for 200 performances.
Now, through a special auction organized by BTF Seattle Circle, this remarkable garment has an opportunity to begin a new chapter while supporting the BTF GENC Project.
