What is Bridge to Türkiye Fund ?
Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) grassroots philanthropic bridge between the United States and Türkiye. We are volunteer-run, with regional representations in the U.S., Europe, and Türkiye, supporting communities through nine program areas (from education to environment, disaster response, health & wellbeing, and more).
Where is BTF located?
Headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; we collaborate with volunteers and partners across the U.S., Europe, and Türkiye via regional representations.
How does BTF work?
We raise funds and channel them to vetted, transparent, partner-led projects with measurable impact. Local needs guide priorities; volunteers help design, deliver, and monitor programs.
Which program areas does BTF focus on?
We prioritize the alignment of our mission&vision with donors’ goodwill initiatives.
How are projects selected and monitored?
We currently operate nine programs, including (but not limited to) Adopt a Classroom, Scholarships, Disaster Management, Environmental Sustainability, Project CATE, Educational Buildings, Education Support, Health & Wellbeing. See our Programs page for the full, up-to-date list.
How does BTF cover its administrative costs?
Core operations are covered by designated supporters and a separate budget, so program-designated donations are directed to projects.
How can I make a donation?
Use our secure donation page (cards/wallets).
You may also mail a check to: Bridge to Türkiye, 1609 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
Corporate matching, stocks and DAFs are welcome.
Additionally, BTF participates in intermediary platforms such as Benevity and Global Giving. You can direct your BTF donations via these 3rd parties and submit company match requests spontaneously, especially on Benevity.
Can I designate my donation to a specific program or project?
Yes—choose a program and send us an email. We honor restrictions aligned with our programs.
Can I make monthly donations to BTF? Why does it matter?
Yes. Select monthly at checkout. Recurring gifts provide stable, long-term support across our program portfolio.
What if I need to stop giving? Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes. Manage or cancel via the donor portal of the platform you used, or email info@bridgetoturkiye.org.
How can I help BTF besides making donations?
Volunteer with committees/regional circles, start a workplace match, share campaigns, or offer in-kind expertise/resources.
What percentage of my donation goes to programs?
We maintain a separate operations budget; 100% of program-designated donations are directed to projects.
Is my donation to BTF tax-deductible?
Yes. BTF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN: 58-2678580 (deductibility per U.S. law).
Will I receive a donation receipt for tax purposes?
Yes—an instant email receipt which can be used for tax purposes in the U.S; upon request we can provide an annual summary.
Will my name appear publicly after I donate?
Unless you select the “Make my donation anonymous” option during the donation process, your name may appear on public donor lists and potentially be indexed by search engines. We recommend choosing the anonymous option if you prefer to keep your information private. Anonymous giving is available and respected.
