“Hot from the Oven Simit” gathers the community together while creating funds for education by BTF San Diego Circle…

SD Bakers hold a “Simit Party” to benefit BTF San Diego Circle on Saturday, Oct. 9th. We were not able to do any in person fundraisers due to Covid for the last two years. Our Turkish community enjoyed gathering in a sunny backyard to catch up with each other while enjoying “hot from the oven” simit with Turkish tea, feta cheese, olives, and tomatoes.

We are quite pleased with the outcome. We have secured the annual scholarships of the 10 university students (all females) whom SD Bakers has been sponsoring since 2020.
