ABOUT EMPIRE OF THE RABBITS

Cinema4aCause proudly presents the award-winning film Empire of the Rabbits, directed by Seyfettin Tokmak. Praised for its realism, symbolism, and poetic storytelling, the film follows Musa, a twelve-year-old boy in rural Türkiye forced to pretend to be disabled for a government pension.
As he navigates this harsh reality, Musa secretly rescues rabbits from illegal races and, with his friend Nergis, creates an imagined refuge, “the Rabbit Empire,” where they begin a quiet but dangerous struggle for freedom.
