Collaborating for lasting change in Türkiye
Our corporate partners and foundations help scale bold ideas into transformative action — whether it’s pioneering disaster-preparedness technology, delivering life-saving healthcare to children in disaster zones, or rebuilding the schools and communities that keep Türkiye’s future bright. By combining your resources with our on-the-ground network, we turn shared commitment into measurable, lasting impact with full transparency.
Disaster Response Innovation Program
Our joint Disaster Response Innovation and Education Grant with NVIDIA furnished eight Turkish research teams with NVIDIA Jetson Nano developer kits and seed funding to turn cutting-edge AI and robotics into life-saving tools.
The projects are already bearing fruit: robots are learning precise search-and-rescue moves, portable test rigs are checking water and food supplies for contamination after quakes, and a new, hands-on programming course has launched at a leading technical institute.
This initiative stands next to the $1.9 million in NVIDIA employee donations and company matching that flowed to earthquake relief in Türkiye and Syria. Talent, tech, and timely support are converging so that when the ground shakes again, responders will have smarter gear, faster data, and a clearer path to saving lives.
In response to the devastating 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF), with the support of Siemens Healthineers, launched an emergency response project to address the most urgent needs of survivors across the disaster zone. With a budget of $421,000, the initiative provided life-saving assistance to an estimated 10,000 people, delivering shelter, food, heating, and hygiene supplies in the immediate aftermath of the crisis. Through our trusted partner Ahbap, this support also enabled the procurement of heavy machinery for search and rescue operations and the distribution of blankets, food, and hygiene kits. General Electric’s partnership with BTF played a vital role in ensuring that humanitarian aid reached communities swiftly, offering hope and stability at a time when it was needed most.
Through its partnership with Siemens Healthineers, Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF) continues to strengthen the impact of the Child Amputees of Türkiye Earthquakes (CATE) Project. This initiative provides scholarships and prosthetic support to children and youth aged 0–21 who lost limbs in the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Because prosthetic needs change as children grow—with each prosthesis costing an average of $7,000—sustained support is critical to ensuring their rehabilitation and long-term well-being. With Siemens Healthineers’ backing, BTF has directed $258,000 to the Child Wellness Center in Adana, enabling an estimated 120 child amputees to access prosthetics, continue their education, and rebuild their lives. In addition, Siemens Healthineers donated an ultrasound imaging device to the center, further enhancing medical care for young survivors. This partnership plays a vital role in helping children who have lost both limbs and loved ones regain their independence, dignity, and hope for the future.
